Orders

Postage and packing

We charge a standard £5 per order for postage and packing to an address in the United Kingdom (this includes the costs of materials for packaging, etc.). So, if you order several books you will still only be charged £5 for the postage and packing. All our books are sent through Royal Mail or Parcelforce using their standard services, unless we elect to use a premium service. If you require the parcel to be tracked and/or signed for, please contact us as there would be an extra charge.

Please note that we no longer accept orders to an address outside the UK.

Payment

All payment is through our PayPal account. Please note that this will be to Lomax Press Limited, who own Starling Books.

You can pay the invoice with a credit or debit card if you do not have a PayPal account.

As we no longer accept orders to an address outside the UK, any such orders will have payments refunded by return, less the commission charges taken by PayPal.

Dispatch

Once we have received your cleared funds, we will normally send the order the next working day (Monday, if ordered on Friday or Saturday). If we are unable to do this, for instance as a consequence of illness or very bad weather, we will advise you by e-mail. We will normally send more expensive items using Royal Mail Signed For, at our own cost.

All books are dispatched in a cardboard book mailer or cardboard box.

All dust-wrappers are supplied, where practicable, in removable and inert protective film.
